Hi All I’m just starting my first round of Icsie and am trying to take each step in my stride but also not feeling great physically already.I had an implant to switch off my normal hormones, then course of progesterone to induce a bleed and am now starting gondotrophin F injections daily until egg collection. Already feeling a bit scared but also very bloated and tired and uncomfortable. I just wondered if anyone has had an experience of icsie and what side effects you noticed/ what the journey was like?

Hi Ffion, Welcome to the community page.

 

I would say that what your are experiencing is completely normal when having treatment. It can be very uncomfortable but please let your clinic know you aren’t feeling great as their can be some complications like OHSS which is Ovarian Hyper stimulation syndrome where you over respond to the medication and that can make you feel bloated and, uncomfortable, breathless and sometimes difficulty when going to the toilet. It’s rare but it can happen so let your clinic know for sure.
