      Hi ladies, I’m in my first round of IVF. I’m 37. While they were able to fertilize 13 eggs, only one made it to blastocyst. That one has been sent for testing. After two miscarriages and years of trying, I’m feeling pretty defeated. Would love some words of encouragement or any stories of beating the odds!

      Hi Jessica,

      You have been through an awful lot! I have seen successful pregnancies achieved from 1 blastocyst – and have seen this happen many times. You seemed to respond well to the stimulation with 13 eggs so hopefully the embryo will come back with a normal result so that you can transfer. I am sure you have been offered this at your clinic, but they will have a counselling service that you can make use of if you would like to talk to someone – sometimes just chatting stuff through can help.

      sorry unable to give you a success story myself but have seen on so many forums women only getting one good egg and managing to achieve a birth from that. Keeping everything crossed for you! X
