FranKeymasterHi Maham, good to hear from you. The first step would be to visit your GP as they can advise on your next steps. It may be that they will carry out some fertility tests for you and then can advise on whether you need to be seen at a fertility clinic. Have you had any sort of tests or investigations carried out already?

Hi Fran, in your experience have you come across couples who have been able to conceive via IVF when they have unexplained infertility? It is difficult to feel hope at times with IVF treatment when there’s so much guess work.

FranKeymasterHi Joanna,
I have seen many couples who have been successful when diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Although that diagnosis doesn’t make it easy for you at all and you almost want there to be a cause or reason for why its not happening for you. Unexplained makes up around 25% of all fertility diagnosis for couples so you are not alone and many of those will be successful. Try to focus on the stuff that you can control as that will help – like preparing for treatment, eating and drinking well, supplements etc. And also reach out for help or to chat as that can really make a difference as its such an isolating journey.
Hope that helps,
Fran x
